Chapter One: Saviours
“Over there, look!” Someone shouted.
This group of young beach goers quickly ran to the beach shore and surrounded her.
“She looks dead… yet so alive.” The guy with the right arm tattoo exclaimed.
“What should we do?” The light brownish hair girl cried.
“Let me have a listen… she’s not even breathing! Wait… I did do a CPR course about 3 years ago and I think I still remember how to do it.” Another guy who’s wearing glasses replied.
“Go on then, do your C. P. R.” A girl with pink hair said, clearly saying it with a tinge of jealousy, while at the same time popping her bubblegum.
“What? This is a person’s life we’re talking about here, Phomo.”
“Hurry DJen, do your CPR! We might be able to resurrect her” the guy with the right arm tattoo said.
DJen quickly slid his fingers to find the center of the chest and then started doing chest compressions. “Ah, ah, ah, ah, staying alive, ah, ah, ah, ah, staying alive”
“See I told you, not working.” Phomo said.
But after a couple minutes, the girl who was unconscious suddenly started puking out water. After a short few minutes regaining consciousness, she muttered, “Where am I? Who are you guys?”
“Well, I’m Diamond, the guy with the right arm tattoo is Elpha, the one with the pink hair is Phomo, and the guy who just saved you was DJen.”
DJen blushed a bit, and waved. Phomo gave a glance towards his direction, and he immediately stopped.
“We call ourselves the Nifty Friends Together.” Diamond continued.
“We call ourselves that?? I never knew we called ourselves that.” Phomo replied.
“The more important question is, where did you come from? And who are you?” Elpha asked.
“To be quite honest, I don’t even know myself.” The now conscious girl replied. “I don’t even remember anything.”
“Well, whatever it is, it’s good that you’re okay.” Diamond said.
“You must have a name, at least.” Phomo remarked, sarcastically.
“My name…? My name. Hmmm. I don’t even know.”
“Elpha, why don’t you give her a nickname to call her for now?” said DJen.
“A nickname huh. Well I’ve always thought Hope was a good name. I know my mother wanted to call me that if I was born a girl instead.”
“Too bad for your mother that she had you instead.” Phomo joked.
“Hope… I like it.” Hope said.
“Great, Hope it is then!” DJen replied.
“So… where are we again?” Hope asked.
“This is Repulse Bay Beach, and we were actually just playing volleyball before we noticed you.” Diamond replied.
“Repulse Bay?” Hope asked.
“Yeah, Repulse Bay in Hong Kong!” Diamond said.
“Why don’t we take you around to get you recharged and explore the city?” Elpha said.
